Like father like daughter - jumping out of planes for PDDCS

25 years ago, Alf Lutton did a Skydive for PDDCS to raise funds for the charity that did so much for his daughter, Ally Lutton. All these years later, just like her dad, Ally will be jumping out of a plane at Sibson tomorrow to support our awesome little charity.

The reason they do it is because they know how important it is for deaf kids and their families that we're here. We don't need a lot compared with other charities. Our budget is only about £10k every year but we spend it wisely on things that benefit the kids and their families. Christmas parties, discos, deaf friendly football, outings, parent club, toddler groups, summer play schemes, youth group, drama, role model events and more. We make a little go a very, very long way.

Ally is going to jump out of a plane tomorrow because like her father 25 years ago, she believes in what we do. So please support her and give a little donation via her giving page. It won't take a minute and will help pay for something that will make a difference.

Here's what Ally says: "The reason I am doing a skydive as I want to raise money toward to my favourite charity PDDCS whom I have known for many years, since I was child as I have so many happy memories of this charity.

They have made fantastic activities, events, done volunteering work and so much more to keep deaf children able to continue to enjoy their lives and keep their memories going and also importantly to built their confidence despite of their deafness so won't lose self-esteem, and that's why we need PDDCS to encourage deaf children to build their confidence at an early age before they grow older. Without PDDCS, every deaf child would have no confidence and made them feel isolated in the hearing world. I hope PDDCS can continue in many years to come."
