Day at the Theatre for Deaf Children..

Deafinitely Theatre, a theatre company that focuses on deaf related themes, have a new show called the 'Boy and the Statue' which will be on at the Tricycle Theatre on Saturday 14th May before embarking on a tour of London Schools. The show, which is aimed at both deaf and hearing audiences, is about a boy who tries to save a an unusual statue in a London park and is aimed at children from 4 to 8 years old. Tickets and more information are available here for a maximum of £6.

The future of Deafinitely Theatre was secured this week as they received Arts Council Funding from 2012 to 2015 which will ensure that the British Deaf community continues to be represented in the theatre world. 

Among other plays, notable successes include 'Playing God', a play about the ethical issues surrounding cochlear implantation.
