Peterborough CHSWG Training What is it?
Read on
Are you the parent of a deaf child?
Do you want to make a difference?
Would you like to get involved in developing your local services?
Parents can play a crucial role in developing and improving services for deaf children by being involved in their local Children’s Hearing Services Working Group (CHSWG) and giving their views and experiences.
If you are already involved with your local Children’s Hearing Services Working Group or would like to become involved, we have set up a one free day course for you. Travel expenses will be reimbursed and refreshments will be provided. We will not be providing crèche facilities for the day but will provide child care expenses to parents attending so that they can arrange their own child care for the day.
The aim of the day is to support and develop your own skills in being an active parent member of a Children’s Hearing Services Working Group, alongside other parents. The topics we will cover on the day will include:
· What is a CHSWG and what should it do?
· Being an effective and confident member of the group
· Representing yourself and others
· Strengthening the parent-professional partnerships
We are holding a training day in London Victoria on 7th March 2012. To book a place on this course, please contact:
