NSPCC/Childline BSL casting call

Recently some of our deaf members took part in a research survey for Childline. Childline are committed to Deaf children and young people having equal access to their provision.

NSPCC + Childline are working with 3angrymen Productions to shot a video to promote online safety amongst a young Deaf audience.

On the 4th April 2012 they wish to cast this film using three young Deaf people, aged 16-20 years old [playing age 14-18 years old] who are confident BSL users.

The job advert from http://groups.yahoo.com/group/deaf-uk-jobs/ states:

"Actors used in the filming of this video will be paid.
Casting Date: Friday 30th March 2012
Available Times: 2pm – 8pm
Location: Conference Room, 1st Floor, 8 Orsman Road
London N1 5QJ*

We will have a BSL interpreter available on site for attendees. If you are under 18 you must be accompanied by an adult to the casting.

If you would like to be considered for a part in this film please  email casting@3angrymen.com with the subject line “NSPCC/BSL Casting Appointment” and please include some background information on yourself, details of your BSL ability and at least one recent headshot (a photo clearly showing your face and hair).

Please note that you must be available to attend the shoot day on 4th April 2012 if you would like to be considered for this part.

*Nearest public transport – Haggerston overground station (5 minutes walk) and Old Street underground (20 minutes walk)."
Another interesting acting opportunity for any young deaf person.
