Deaf Poem: Some girl I am!

 Some girl I am!
A girl, who was in a mother’s womb for nine months,
A girl, who was cute, innocent and lively,
A girl, who was diagnosed with profound severe hearing loss,
A girl, who practised her speech therapy,
Some girl I am!

A girl, who was left in silent,
A girl, who wears hearing aids,
A girl, who moves her hands in the air,
A girl, who wonders what the sound will be like,
Some girl I am!

A girl, who has family to support her through difficult times,
A girl, who cherished her moments with sounds on,
A girl, whose friends’ thinks how to communicate with her,
A girl, who desire to raise deaf awareness around the world,
Some girl I am!

A girl, who imagine that will anyone accept her,
A girl, who wants to achieve her GCSEs, A-levels, goes university and gets a job,
A girl, who show people how to smile,
A girl, who wants things to be easier for her,
Some girl I am!

A girl, who has dreams and wishes to be fulfil,
A girl, who admire happiness,
A girl, who rapidly catches opportunity that comes throughout her life,
A girl, who doesn’t think about herself but others,
Some girl I am!

A girl, who wishes to ease her parents and brothers’ worries,
A girl, who is full of life,
A girl, who relish whether the future of her husband, will accept her,
A girl, who switch all the sounds off for peace,
Some girl I am!

  1. Some girl you are indeed. Emotive language beautifully expressed. Keep up the good work. May your dreams be as you wish them to be.
