City Lit: BSL Theatre Summer School

Below are details from City Lit regarding their BSL Theatre Summer School
 
Are you deaf?
Are you aged between 16 and 24 years old?
Do you use BSL?
Are you interested in drama?

Yes?  Then this exciting new summer school course is for you!

What is the course?
·        It is a one-week (Monday to Friday) summer school in theatre skills
·         It is taught in BSL by professional deaf actors from Deafinitely Theatre
·         There will be a performance at the end of the week

When is it?
·         Monday 28 July to Friday 1 August:  10am-5pm
 
Where is it?
·         It is at City Lit in Covent Garden, London – very good for bus, train and tube
·         You will be in a high standard professional theatre for  afternoon sessions and performance
 
Is there a fee?
·         The fee will be £20 for the week
 
What will I learn?
·         Acting techniques and other theatre skills
·         Using BSL in theatre
·         How to translate written scripts into BSL
·         Information about more training and opportunities in theatre
What level of BSL do I need to have?
·         You should be able to have a conversation in sign language. If you are not sure, contact us!
