Welcome our 22-mile river swimmers home on Saturday at Ferry Meadows

The amazing 22- mile swimming challenge, The Nene Channel Challenge, is taking place on Saturday 2nd August to raise money for PDDCS. The money raised will be used to teach swimming instructors sign language on our popular swimming programme for deaf children.

22 miles is the same distance to swim the channel from Dover to Calais!

Swimmers Lisa and Julie will set off from Oundle and swim the 22 miles down the winding Nene early on Saturday morning. They'll swim to Milton Ferry Bridge, at the Ferry Meadow's Country Park, where the challenge will come to and end and the ladies will step on to dry land.

Why not come down to welcome them back after their amazing effort? They should be arriving at about 8pm and Anglia TV will be there too.
