National Deaf Children Society’s new project ‘Raising the Bar’!

This month the National Deaf Children Society’s new project ‘Raising the Bar’! was launched.

"Raising the Bar aims to raise expectations of what deaf children and young people can achieve in dancing and music. Ten lucky winners of our new competition will be invited to attend a 2 day masterclass in Birmingham in May at The Birmingham REP Theatre led by leading deaf, dance and music professionals; Billy Read and Ava M Blake from Defmotion, Danny Lane from Music and the Deaf and Ruth Montgomery, deaf flautist.

The second day of the Raising the Bar masterclass will result in a showcase. The event will be filmed and this will be part of a new toolkit of resources for dance and music professionals. " NDCS
